The year 1994 was a big win for Robert Kraft. In that year, Robert Kraft utilized all the possible strategies to bring what to him was the biggest tournament of the season, the FIFA World Cup to Foxboro Stadium. According Mr. Kraft, installing a new tuff was perhaps the major attraction that convinced the FIFA officials who toured the field a few years before they made the decision on where the World Cup would be held.
The former New England Patriots manager now says that he intends to use the same trick to lure FIFA World Cup officials to bring the tournament to Gillette Stadium.
On whether he will succeed this time, nobody knows but Robert Kraft is not a man who is just swayed by mere criticism. His spectacular performance in the past and resilience have shown that he is a man who does not rest until he gets what he believes rightly belongs to the people he represents. The Gillette Stadium Committee, which Robert is part of, has written to the football governing body requesting to host the event. To see whether the field is fit for the 2026 World Cup, the team from the football governing body last month toured the cities around Gillette Stadium. According to the team, which was welcomed by Robert Kraft among other GS officials, it will tour nine cities. The aim is to check on the readiness of the cities to welcome a large number of guests. Among the things, the team checked was hotels, restaurants and the cities’ mode of transport.
According to pitch officials, there is more that has to be done on the field even as they await the FIFA World Cup officials to decide on which city will host the 2026 World Cup. Robert Kraft and the team agreed that as part of the preparations, they would bring a new turf. See this page for additional information.
